Wangala Primary School is proud to offer the ‘Hands on Learning’ (HoL) program in two unique parts through a HoL Construction program, and a HoL Café program.

HoL offers a small group of students the opportunity to engage with artisan teachers and volunteers to work collaboratively on authentic projects as they grow in confidence and achieve success at school.  HoL fosters strong relationships that help young people develop the skills and abilities they need to succeed in work and life, including collaboration, problem solving, communication, resilience and empathy.

In the past our Construction team have worked on projects around the school, such as rejuvenating old furniture for use at home and across the school, creating games and resources for the school to use, and working on projects across within the community.  Our Café team have provided our community with lunches each week, developing their culinary skills in the kitchen, while also catering for community events.  See more about our Kitchen Garden program on a further page.
