As the language of the Australia deaf community, Auslan is an important part of our school curriculum at Wangala Primary School.  Students engage in learning fingerspelling and the elements of hand shape, orientation, location, movement and expression to learn key words in the Auslan dictionary to begin their engagement with this unique language.  Staff and students learn Auslan alongside each other, delivered by a qualified Auslan educator.

Can you finger spell your name using the Auslan alphabet?
